Senior Officer - HR Web Developer

KPMG in Jamaica seeks to identify a Senior Officer - HR Web Developer , to be responsible for working closely with the Client’s content owners to create and update webpages based on operating procedures within the Clients’ HR Technology process area. The Senior Officer also supports the Client’s stakeholder to execute multiple deliverables, such as updating intranet web pages, building out new pages with lists and libraries as well as custom collaboration sites. .  This position applies knowledge, independent judgment and firm policies to complete moderate to complex web design projects.  The HR Technology Senior Officer performs work of a technical or analytical nature, requiring special skills, training and related experience.

The position will be assigned to our rapidly growing KPMG Jamaica Expanded Support Services (K-JESS), which provides services to a major client in the United States.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for complex activities associated with web design / web page updates and development.
  • Work closely with Client’s stakeholder and content owners to review / comprehend the scope of the project
  • Work with the onshore stakeholder to develop the project plan (e.g. milestones, timeline, resources, etc.) to meet the content owner(s) deliverable(s)
  • Develop pixel accurate pages from design mockup
  • Exercise independent judgment in creating and selecting ways to complete work assignments
  • Analyze and address issues by evaluating different alternatives within a wide variety of established procedures; decisions are subject to review by higher levels of onshore management
  • Develop cooperative and productive relationships and ability to respond and adapt to change quickly
  • Demonstrate and execute strong understanding of standards-based coding, browser compatibility issues, Web design constraints, and security protocols (HTTP vs. HTTPS)
  • Proactively communicate with onshore stakeholders and content owners to raise questions/clarifications and identify issues with deliverable and/or deadlines


  • Bachelor’s degree in related field from an accredited college or university required
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in web design and development
  • Proficient understanding of client-side scripting languages and JavaScript frameworks including JQuery
  • Experience with ASP.Net, Web Services (WCF, ASP Web API), SQL, VBScript and Angular JS and Flex a plus
  • Experience in interactive Web applications that utilize database components including the creation of interfaces to optimize workflow
  • Advanced knowledge and use of office productivity tools (MS Office, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3, JQuery and SharePoint 2013
  • Experience with Classic ASP and Bootstrap
  • Demonstrated understanding of standards-based coding, browser compatibility issues, Web design constraints, and security protocols (HTTP vs. HTTPS)
  • Proactive, flexible, results-oriented work effort with the ability to multi-task both independently as well as with the onshore stakeholder and content owners
  • Ability to identify improvement opportunities and actively engage in implementing improvements.
  • Capable of being entrusted with “confidential” information.
  • Ability to cultivate an environment focused on customer satisfaction.
